A Note From Chris

Hi,

Some of my staff have challenged me as to whether it is worth putting out a weekly newsletter or not.  They have this belief that nobody reads the newsletter.  So here is my challenge and only if you are reading this will know my outstanding offer.

Anyone who books and pays for a training course between now and Friday 9 January 2009 and mentions this newsletter and offer, I will give to you a Free Rapid Clean to the value of $29.  You will be able to get this done at your own leisure either on the day of the course or a time before the end of the month.

I am so looking at proving my staff wrong!

I have had a few emails over the last few weeks from people who are incredibly distressed and stressed with what is going on in the world. My advice to you is this - STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT!

I have been reading a book by Dale Carnegie called "How To Stop Worrying and Start Living".  It is an interesting read in that it looks at why worrying is an absolute waste of time and actually doesn't achieve anything except for damaging your own life.  The more you worry, the only person who suffers is you, because that worry weakens your immune system and will entice you to make the wrong or poor decisions.

It probably sounds incredulous to say to a person owing thousands of dollars or even millions not to worry, but in the end the worry does absolutely nothing for you.  Dale Carnegie sets out a number of tasks you can undertake to help eliminate worry and to move you forward.

If you are in the situation of being financially challenged or possibly jobless or redundant I have two books I would recommend you read.  One is by a lady called Linda Proctor and the name of the book is "Does Your DNA Create Wealth?" Linda has setup a website at www.LindaProctor.com and you can get a Free copy of her book by visiting her website.

The next book I would also recommend is one by Gerry Roberts called the Millionaire Mindset. This book is a practical book in helping you get ahead and to be more successful. It teaches you to look inside yourself as to why you have achieved all that you have achieved (or in some cases why not).  I really like this book because it provides some great templates, examples and exercise that will help you get ahead and he gives them all to you for Free. But here is something of a bonus I found out whilst I was doing my research for this newsletter from Gerry. Gerry is going to let you download his book for Free, just simply visit www.GerryRobert.com

Gerry also teaches you how to plan budgets and get a grip on your financial situation.  He has included in his book a Financial Fitness Test.  Its on page 105 of his book and I suggest if you are married or in a relationship this test is definitely worth doing together.

Today I have given you access to two outstanding resources for absolutely free so there is no reason why you can't get ahead.  It is up to you now to achieve what it is you want to achieve. There are absolutely no excuses.

Well once again, have a great week and remember one thing Success is a Habit.

Never Let Them 'Hear' You Sweat

By Nancy Daniels

Does your voice 'shake, rattle and roll' when you stand to introduce yourself or address an audience at the lectern or the boardroom table? When I started my voice improvement business back in 1989, I joined the local chamber of commerce and attended a new members' orientation. The room was large; there were about 150 attendees; and, the new members had to stand and introduce themselves.

At first I wasn't concerned until it suddenly dawned on me that that personal introduction was my business. I realized that if I blew my intro I could kiss Voice Dynamic goodbye at which point I began to sweat. My heart was beating so loudly that I could feel it pounding in my cheeks and I was sure the gentleman on the other side of the table could hear it beating as well. I always experience nervousness in public speaking - which is a good thing - but never to this degree.

Finally, it was my turn. I stood; I took a breath; and I proceeded to introduce myself. I sounded calm, collected, confident. They had no idea that I was dying a thousands deaths!

What did I do that most people don't? I took a breath. Not a huge breath - not a shallow breath - just a deep breath, a breath that went all the way down to my diaphragm. By breathing in this manner, I was totally relaxed from the waist up. (Yes, my knees were shaking but there was a tablecloth to hide that condition!)

As soon as I finished, a man in the back of the room shouted, "That's The Voice Lady" and so began my career. I knew then that breathing with the support of the diaphragm was what allowed me to control my nervousness and not the other way around. And, it has stood me in good ground ever since.

There are many symptoms of nervousness in public speaking which unfortunately affect the voice and are a dead giveaway that the speaker is not in control: quivering voice; high-pitched tone; and 100 mph in a 65 mph speed zone.

All of these characteristics will go away if you can control your nervousness and allow it to work for you, not against you. I want you nervous. Nervousness is wonderful. Having no control over it, however, is not. My heart goes out to that speaker whose voice quivers because I understand what they are going through.

If you learn to breathe with support and allow your chest cavity to power your voice, you will then be able to control not only your nervousness but your speed as well. The quiver will be gone and your pitch will stay within range.

[Incidentally, all mammals breathe with the support of the diaphragm and as newborns we did as well; but, sometime during our childhood development, we stop that practice and revert to shallow or lazy breathing - it's a medical fact!]

Imagine, standing at the lectern or at the business lunch or at the head of the boardroom table and never letting them 'hear' you sweat.

1.002 Excel 2007 Interfaces

By Luis T

Microsoft Excel 2007 is very much different from any Microsoft Excel in the previous version. Basically most of the menus being replaced with a new interface called Ribbon. The ribbon is a powerful interface that helps you to find and apply function/tools more easily, this is particularly useful for new users (who never use Microsoft Excel before). This is a major breakthrough since the introduction of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet interface.

If you used Excel before, you may not get used to this version of Excel, give yourself some time, you will adapt to it eventually. There are a lot more buttons than the previous version of Microsoft Excel, they are grouped in tabs. Tabs consist of ribbons.

Please bear in mind that the ribbons are designed to facilitate easier usage for the users, new users will definitely find it extremely user friendly. You will find the most often used functions are resided at the left side of the tab, which decreasing importance in terms of usage tendency to the right hand side of the tabs.

Some basic features:

Office buttons- on the top left side of the ribbon, consists of save, save as, new, opening and closing files. When you put your cursor on the Office buttons, you will see a list of most recently used file at the right side of the bar.

Quick Access Toolbar - can be customized with buttons that you use most frequently. I will show you how to use it in the video attached below.

Tabs - contains ribbons where you could find most of the functions at. You may click on it once to activate the tab. Or you may use arrow button (to the right) on the keyboard to move from one tab to another.

It is important for you to understand the basic of the Excel 2007, to help you navigate and identify the difference from it's predecessors (such as Excel 2000/2003).
